Instructions for Use – Hercules XL
Chest clip
To insert the chest clip, the upper ends of the 5-point positioning belt are threaded
out. The chest clip is then threaded through the ends of the 5-point positioning belt.
Make sure that the straps are not twisted and are threaded correctly. Finally, the
5-point positioning belt is threaded again (reverse order to unthreading). (fig. 36)
Tip: First completely assemble the chest clip on one side before you loosen the sec-
ond side.
Belt guide, top
A second upper belt guide (Fig. 37) can be fitted for flexible use on different car seats.
The vehicle's 3-point safety belt can be used on the right or left side of the car seat
without having to change the upper belt guide first. For more information on mount-
ing, see "Adjustment options – belt guide, top".
Seatfix adapter
Note: Prerequisite for the use of the Seatfix adapter is an existing ISOFIX equipment of
the vehicle. This must be checked before purchase!
The Seatfix adapter is pushed from behind into the receptacle under the seat plate.
(fig. 38) Loosely screw the 4 set screws supplied (2 on each side) into the holder so
that the Seatfix adapter can still be moved. (fig. 39)
Determine the required position of the Seatfix adapter: To do this, place the seat in
the vehicle and insert the Seatfix connectors (with yellow trigger) into the vehicle's
Isofix anchors. Check that the connectors are securely locked in place by pulling. The
backrest of the Hercules XL must have as much contact with the backrest of the vehi-
cle as possible. Mark the desired position at the transition between the Seatfix adapter
and the seat plate.
Remove the Hercules XL from the vehicle and fix the Seatfix adapter in the marked
position.
Stabilizing bow
The stabilizing bow is pushed into the receptacle under the seat plate from behind.
(fig. 38) Fix it in the holder using the 4 set screws (2 on each side) supplied. (fig. 39)
The stabilizing bow can also be used upside down, depending on the vehicle seat. To
do this, mount the bracket with the bend either up or down. (fig. 40)
