Where any repair work such as replacement of printed
boards, etc. was carried out on an opened device, the
below final test must be carried out.
The device has been high-voltage tested by the
manufacturer. This test may not be repeated by the
service technician.

When carrying out the electrical safety test according to
VDE0751 part 1 10/90, the first measured value of the
discharge current of the replacement device must be
recorded. During each subsequent measurement, the first
measured value may not be exceeded by 10uA or 50%. In
case of higher values, a non-permissible change must be
suspected. In this case, the device must be returned to
the manufacturer for testing.
The safety evaluation must be carried out in accordance
with IEC60601-1 requirements. The defined measuring
equipment must be used for this purpose. Alternatively,
other measuring arrangements, also specified by
IEC60601-1 may be used.
