Batteries may be life-threatening
if swallowed. Young children
could swallow batteries and
choke. For these reason, keep
batteries out of reach of young
children. If a battery has been
swallowed, seek medical attention
immediately.
Avoid extreme conditions and
temperatures which may affect
batteries, e.g. on radiators. Oth-
erwise there is an increased risk
of battery leaks.
Leaked or damaged bat-
teries may cause burns
on contact with the skin. To avoid
this, always wear suitable protec-
tive gloves in these circumstances!
Be sure to insert the batteries
correctly (polarity)!
Batteries must not be disposed
of in the normal domestic waste!
Every consumer is legally obliged
to dispose of batteries properly!
Keep batteries away from children;
do not throw batteries into fire,
short-circuit batteries, or take
them apart.
Avoid contact with the skin, eyes
or mucous membranes if fluid
has leaked from the batteries. In
the event of contact with battery
acid, thoroughly flush out the
affected area with clean water

Remove the batteries from the
scales if they have not been used
for a long time.
Only use the same or an equiva-
lent battery type.
Always replace all batteries
at the same time. Do not use
rechargeable batteries!
If the device will not be used for
a long time, remove the batteries
from the battery compartment.
Remove spent batteries immedi-
ately from the scales. There is an
increased risk of leaks!
Failure to observe the above
instructions may result in the
batteries discharging beyond
their end voltage. This poses a
risk of leaking. If the batteries
have leaked inside the scales,
remove them immediately to
prevent damage to the scales!
Set-up
Check that all parts listed in the scope of
delivery are present.
Remove all packaging material.
