2.2 Hardware-Eigenschaften
Die Waggon-Innenbeleuchtung ist mit einem Schalt-
regler ausgestattet, so dass die Erwärmung der Bau-
gruppe sehr gering bleibt. Anschlussmöglichkeiten für
Stützkondensatoren oder Powerpacks sind vorhan-
den. Drei weitere Ausgänge stehen zur Verfügung:
zwei für das fahrtrichtungsrichtige Schalten von Stirn-
und Rücklicht sowie ein zusätzlicher Schaltausgang,
der bis zu 150 mA schalten kann.
Die Platine ist vielfach teilbar, so dass sie an unter-
schiedliche Waggonlängen angepasst werden kann.
(Dies ermöglicht auch die Anordnung der Segmente
entsprechend der Innenaufteilung der Waggons.)
Die Helligkeit der Ausgänge lässt sich im Digitalbe-
trieb über eine CV und im Analogbetrieb über ein
Potentiometer einstellen.
2.3 Betriebsarten analog und digital
Der Decoder verfügt über Lichtprofile, d. h. es sind
verschiedene Konfigurationen hinterlegt, in denen
LEDs kombiniert und angesteuert werden.
2.3.1 Digitalbetrieb
Eine Besonderheit dieser Waggon-Innenbeleuchtung
ist, dass sich der Funktionsdecoder die letzte Konfi-
guration, die Sie über die Funktionstasten ausgewählt
haben, merken kann. Details finden Sie in der CV-
Tabelle unter der CV 135 sowie in Kapitel 4. Dies hat
zur Folge, dass Sie nach einem Spielende bei dem
späteren erneuten Start Ihrer Anlage die Konfigurati-
onen der Waggon-Innenbeleuchtung nicht wieder auf-
rufen müssen, denn die letzte Einstellung bleibt auf
Wunsch erhalten! Da die Konfiguration im nicht flüch-
tigen Speicher des Decoders abgelegt wird, gilt dies
auch für beliebig lange stromlose Phasen.
2.3.2 Analogbetrieb
Für Analogfahrer gibt es eine besondere Vorkehrung.
Eine gewünschte Konfiguration kann in den CVs 13
und 14 abgelegt werden. Sie wird dann automatisch
ausgeführt, wenn der Funktionsdecoder erkennt,
dass er sich in einer analogen Umgebung befindet.
Dadurch können Sie auch im Analogbetrieb die bei
Ihren Personenzügen gewünschte Lichtbelegung der
Waggons einmal programmieren und von dort an
dauerhaft genießen! Natürlich funktioniert auch hier
die Zufallssteuerung, um etwas „Leben" in die Be-
leuchtung der Waggons zu bringen. Sie ist standard-
mäßig aktiv.

2.2 Hardware properties
The coach lighting is equipped with a switched mode
power supply assuring a very low temperature rise of
the device. There are solder pads for connecting UPS
capacitors resp. powerpacks. There are three more
outputs: two for controlling directional front and rear
lights and an additional output with a maximum load
of 150 mA.
In order to adapt the PCB to the different length of
various coaches, it can be cut at certain points. This
also allows you to arrange the segments according to
the layout of the compartments in the coach.
The brightness may be adjusted via a CV in digital
mode and with the aid of a potentiometer in analogue
mode.
2.3 Digital and analogue operating
modes
Various light scenes are pre-programmed in the de-
coder. In other words various configurations have
been stored to facilitate the combination and control
of different LEDs.
2.3.1 Digital mode
One particular feature of this coach lighting is the
ability to memorise the most recent configuration that
has been selected via the function buttons. Details to
be looked up in the CV table at CV 135 as well as in
chapter 4. Therefore there is no need to call up the
desired light scene again after having switched off the
command station at the end of an operating session
and commencing a new session! Since this informa-
tion is saved in the permanent memory of the decod-
er this is also true for extended periods of power cuts.
2.3.2 Analogue mode
A certain feature of the decoder allows storing the
desired configuration in two CVs 13 and 14 that will
be automatically selected in analogue mode. Thus
you may enjoy the desired light scenes in your pas-
senger trains also in analogue mode by programming
them only once! Of course, the random control also
works in analogue mode in order to add some "spice"
to your coach lighting. Random control is switched on
by default.
