• There are 4 mounting holes in the mounting base.
Hold the mounting base against the desired
mounting spot and mark the fi xing holes.
• Drill the holes.
• Fasten the mounting base, including camera, into
place using appropriate installation material.
• Adjust the camera to the desired position. To do this,
loosen the locking screws and after successfully
adjusting the camera, tighten them again to secure
the position.
Do not point the camera directly toward a source of bright sunlight or towards
strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to overexposure and a fuzzy
picture.
Connection
To provide a suitable voltage supply, an optionally available power transformer
is required (12 V/DC). When acquiring this power transformer, check that the
polarity of the low-voltage plug of the power transformer corresponds to
the polarity marked on the low-voltage connector of the camera. The wrong
polarity can cause damage to the camera!
Proceed as follows to make the correct connections:
• Connect the BNC connector to the analogue video input of your display device (e.g.
monitor).
• Connect the low voltage plug (5.5 / 2.1 + inside) of your power transformer (not
included in the delivery) to the low voltage connector on the camera.
• Plug the power transformer into a domestic mains socket (230 V/AC 50 Hz).
• Turn your display device on, e.g. monitor, and set the appropriate channel to enable
the display function.
Camera settings
1. Zoom and focus
The adjustment controls for the ZOOM and FOCUS are
located at the bottom of the camera.
Use a slotted screwdriver in order to manually adjust the
ZOOM, and FOCUS respectively. Turn the control dial very
carefully, otherwise it may be overloaded, which could lead
to damage. Turn the control dial slowly.
Further camera settings can be found at the right side of the camera housing.
The cover (1) can be unscrewed with a coin.
2. Direct current-controlled auto iris
The camera features an auto iris controlled by direct
current. Set the "IRIS LEVEL" at the control dial (2) with
a small screw driver in the following cases:
- If the camera is directed at a window, but is placed in
a relatively dark room.
- If the environmental light conditions, in which the
object is placed, are extremely dark or light.
- If the brightness of the image is too light or dark in
the monitor.
3. Description of DIP-FIX adjustment controls (3)
FL (= fl icker)
If the camera is used in an environment with fl uorescent lamps, a fl icker may be seen
on the monitor. In this case, move the FL switch (4) to the position "FL". Otherwise,
keep the switch in the position "OFF"!
AGC (= auto gain control)
Auto gain control ensures a constant camera video level at different light conditions.
to increase the signal, move the AGC switch (3) to the position "AGC". Otherwise, keep
the switch in the position "LOW".
EAS (=auto electric shutter)
The camera adjusts itself to the environmental light conditions with the built-in
automatic shutter. Move the AES switch (2) to the position "AES". Otherwise, keep the
switch in the position "OFF".
BLC (black light control)
The black light control enables you to see dark areas better in case of black light. Move
the BLC switch (1) to the position "BLC". Otherwise, keep the BLC switch in the position
"OFF.
The home technology brand for the entire house. More information at www.sygonix.com
4. Setting of IR-LEDs
The IR range can be adjusted with the slide switch "IR settings" (4) according to the
following table. Depending on the environmental brightness, the LEDs are switched
on automatically.
All LEDs are illuminated in the switch position "H", the outer LEDs are illuminated in
position "M", and the inner LEDs are illuminated in position "L".
IR LED brightness
H = high
M = middle
L = low
When all settings are made or completed, the cover must be re-attached and
tightly screwed.
Please close it fi rmly so that humidity can not get in.
Glare shield
To replace the glare shield please proceed as follows:
Loosen the screw in order to slide the glare shield backwards
or forwards! When the glare shield is in the desired position,
the screw has to be fi xed to avoid unwanted sliding of the
shield!
Maintenance, care & disposal
Before cleaning the outside of the surveillance camera's casing, unplug it from the
mains. To clean the outside of the camera, it is suffi cient to use a dry, soft and clean
cloth. Clean the lens very carefully, otherwise you may scratch it. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household
waste!
When disposing of an unserviceable product, do so in line with the
relevant statutory regulations.
