Connecting Spotlights

A dangerous mains voltage may be present at the sockets. Prior to connecting spotlights,
disconnect the unit in any case from the mains!
Connect your loads to the safety sockets CH 1 to CH 4. It is possible to connect all types of dimmable light
sources which work with an operating voltage of AC 230 V. The maximum load per channel is 1150 W (5 A)
and the total load is 3680 W (16 A). Do not exceed these values.

DMX512 Connection

The unit features 3-pin XLR plugs for DMX connection. For connection, use special DMX cables for high
data flow.

Connect the output of your DMX controller to the DMX input DMX IN of the dimmer.

Connect the DMX output DMX OUT of the dimmer to the DMX input of the next dimmer or unit in the
chain. Always connect one output to the input of the next unit until all units are connected.

At the last unit, the DMX cable has to be terminated. Plug the terminator with a 120 Ω resistor between
Signal (–) and Signal (+) in the DMX output of the last unit.

If the cable length exceeds 300 m or the number of DMX devices is greater than 32, it is recommended
to insert a DMX level amplifier to ensure proper data transmission.

Finally, connect the device to the mains with the power plug (AC 230 V).
