Maintenance schedule

We recommend having the gearboxes
cleaned and re-greased by qualified experts
every time they have completed the mainte-
nance-free number of tightening cycles.
Tab. 8 on page 61shows the necessary
grease quantity for planetary gearboxes
(type Molykote BR-2

Lubricants and sources of supply
In many Rexroth components, the lubricant
of type VP720 is currently used. You can
purchase this lubricant as always directly
from Bosch Rexroth. The addresses are
contained in section "Service and sales"
from page 68.

Maintenance

Planetary gearboxes of sizes 2, 3 and 4 are
maintenance-free for 1 million tightening cy-
cles, whereas planetary gearboxes of size 5
are maintenance-free up to 500,000 tight-
ening cycles, see "Maintenance schedule"
on page 3. With planetary gearboxes of
size 5 proceed as follows for performing the
re-lubrication:
