Input voltage monitoring 'Input Power Low'
This function monitors the voltage at the charger input. This is a useful function if using a 12 V
lead vehicle battery as the power supply. If the voltage falls below the set value, the charging
process is cancelled so as to prevent deep discharge of the lead vehicle battery.
Displaying the battery and charger temperature 'Ext. 'Temp'/'Int. Temp'
This function displays the external battery temperature and the internal charger temperature.
The external temperature can only be displayed if an external temperature sensor is
connected to the charger (not included, available as an accessory). This temperature
sensor is attached to the battery.
Loading factory settings 'LOAD FACTORY SET'
This functions allows you to restore factory settings.
Press and hold the ENTER
button (3) and (20) for longer than 3 seconds. 'COMPLETED'
then appears in the bottom row on the LC display. The charger then restarts and loads the
main menu.
Note that all previously configured settings will be restored to the factory defaults.
The data in the 10 battery memories will also be deleted.
Displaying the firmware version 'Version'
The charger's current firmware is shown at the bottom right of the LC display (7) and (8).
Additional process information
You can fetch information on the charging and/or discharging process during the charging
process or on the LC display (7) and (8).
• Press the STATUS - buttons (5) and (18) to display the various settings on the LC display
(7) and (8). If no button is pressed for a few seconds, the charger returns to the normal
display.
• Press the STATUS +buttons (4) and (21) to display and monitor the voltage of individual
cells if you have connected a balancer cable for charging lithium batteries.
This display shows the final voltage applied to the battery at
the end of charging.
This display shows the current input voltage.
This display shows the internal temperature of the device and
the battery temperature (if an external temperature sensor is
connected).
This display indicates that the safety time is active 'ON' and it
shows the duration of the set time in minutes.
The display indicates that the capacity shut-off function is
switched on or off, plus shows the set (limit) value.
A balancer cable is connected to the battery. The charger can
verify the cell voltage of individual cells in the battery pack.
Warning and error messages on the LC display
The charger monitors its functions and displays warning messages. Warning tones are also
sounded.
REVERSE POLARITY
The polarity of the battery connections is incorrect.
CONNECTION BREAK
The connection to the battery has been interrupted, e.g. if the
battery was disconnected during charging.
CONNECT ERROR
The battery was connected with reverse polarity.
CHECK MAIN PORT
BALANCE CONNECT
The balancer connection on the battery was not connected
properly or was connected with reverse polarity.
ERROR
DC IN TOO LOW
The input voltage (at the DC voltage input) for the charger is
too low (<11 V).
DC IN TOO HIGH
The input voltage (at the DC voltage input) for the charger is
too high (>18 V).
CELL ERROR
The voltage of one of the lithium battery cells is too low.
LOW VOLTAGE
CELL ERROR
The voltage of one of the lithium battery cells is too high.
HIGH VOLTAGE
CELL ERROR
The voltage of one of the lithium battery cells cannot be
measured correctly.
VOLTAGE-INVALID
CELL NUMBER
The set number of cells is incorrect.
INCORRECT
INT.TEMP.TOO HI
The internal charger temperature is too high.
EXT.TEMP.TOO HI
The temperature measured by the external temperature
sensor (not included, available separately) is too high.
OVER CHARGE
The set capacity limit has been exceeded.
CAPACITY LIMIT
OVER TIME LIMIT
The preset time limit for the charging process was exceeded.
BATTERY WAS FULL
The connected battery is fully charged. If necessary, check
the setting for the number of cells.
Care and cleaning
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the housing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning. Pull the mains plug from the
mains socket or remove the DC power supply.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• To prevent scratch marks, do not press too hard on the surface of the enclosure or LC
display when cleaning.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household
waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
