The hydraulic crimping tool HPG 60 is meant for crimping cable lugs, wire end
ferrules and insulated connectors.
Activate the tool only if the dies are inserted.
It is absolutely necessary that the dies match with the tool and the intended
connection. Therefore regard the type and cross section attribution in the
passage Choice of dies.
3.1

Insertion and removal of the dies

NOTICE
Pay great attention that the used dies absolutely fit to the cable
lugs and connectors with respect to the cross section as well as
the type of forming.
Wrong combinations lead to insufficient electrical and mechani-
cal connections between cable lugs and conductor or connectors
and conductor.
On principle these crimp-instructions are valid for stranded conductors only.
For crimping on solid conductors, please consult Weidmüller Interface GmbH
& Co. KG before starting to crimp.
Special dies designed according to your specification are available on your re-
quest.
Open the crimp head by pulling the latch carefully. As a result the shackle

opens due to the power of a spring.
