Preparation of the conductor

Cut the cable right-angled to the conductor.
Remove the isolation of the cable appropriate to the sleeve length (a-

measure) of the cable lug/ connector plus 10 %.
Clean the ends of the conductor carefully of any kind of dirt and remaining

oxides.
Stranded conductors have to be rounded before crimping.

Process of crimping

During the piston moves you are in danger of bruising.
Insert the connection material between the dies. For this purpose open

the crimp head if necessary. Don't cant the cable lug or connector be-
tween the dies; cable lug/ connector and crimp head are intended to be
right-angled.
Turn the grip (see Figure 1 on page 24) into the position for the pressure

build-up (=>||<=).
Some movements of the pump handle will fix the cable lug/connector (see

Figure 1 on page 24).
Insert the stripped cable into the sleeve of the cable lug/connector.

By further pump movements the process of crimping continues. The

crimping is finished as soon as the automatic pressure limit is activated, a
