3.1

Adjustment of the cross-section

1 Open the tool completely by dispersing the tubes
2 Press down the locking-bolt of the profile die against the spring force.
3 Rotate the profile die until the upper stamped cross section fits to the cross section
on the cable lug / connector.
4 At the crimping tool type PZ PK 10/120 the identification no. (K-number) is decisive.
This K-no. at the profile die must be correspond with the K-no. on the cable lug /
connectors you want to crimp.
5 Release the locking-bolt until the profile die is fixed. If needed rotate the profile die
slowly until it snapped in.
6 Adjust the second profile die exactly the same way than the first one. Both profile
dies must have the same adjustment of cross section!
NOTICE
A wrong adjustment of cross section results in damages at the crimping
tool and/or insufficient electrical or mechanical connections.
3.2

Preparation of the conductor

Cut the cable right-angled to the conductor.
1 Remove the isolation of the cable appropriate to the sleeve length (a-measure) of
the cable lug/ connector plus 10 %.
2 Clean the ends of the conductor carefully of any kind of dirt and remaining oxides.
3 Stranded conductors have to be rounded before crimping.
