Intended use
The KESSEL Staufix FKA (automatic backwater valve,
referred to below as: system) in accordance with EN 13564
has been designed for continuous wastewater pipes. These
wastewater pipes can be connected to wastewater pipes
with toilets and urinals. The system must not be operated in
potentially explosive areas.
The number of flaps and their drive determine whether a
backwater valve may be used for a specific application case
(e.g. faecal/faecal-free wastewater). The respective national
regulations must be observed.
In addition, the respective flap on the outlet side can be
operated as backwater valve type 1 via the "neutral" position
of the emergency closure lever. With the backwater valve
installed, backwater protection is guaranteed during the con-
struction phase even if it is perhaps not yet connected to the
power supply.
