Inserting a CD / DVD / VCD

1. Press the 
the drawer.
2. Place the disc in the centre of the circular recess in
the drawer, with the side to be played facing down.
3. Press the 
the drawer.

Starting playback

The machine features an AUTOPLAY function: playback
starts automatically when you close the drawer.
Note:
Some DVDs disable automatic start. Instead they
present an on-screen select menu, or force a STOP.
In such cases please follow the instructions in the
menu, or start playback manually by pressing the
 -button on the front panel, or the  
 
 button on the remote control handset.   

Pause

Pressing the 

You can stop playback at any time by pressing the

Resuming playback

You can resume playback of a stopped CD / DVD / VCD
by pressing the 
 or    button on the remote control handset.
   
Single-frame playback
When you are playing a DVD, repeated pressing of the
   button produces single-frame playback. To 
resume normal playback press the 
previously.

Slow motion

The slow motion function is started by holding the
 button pressed in until the function starts.   
Repeated long presses of the 
speed of the slow motion: ½, ¼, ⅛ speed.
Press the   button to revert to normal playback.  

Search

The standard search takes place at quadruple speed,
and is started by pressing the front panel buttons
  /       or the remote control buttons 
Press the search button again to increase the search
speed. The search can be stopped at any time by
pressing the 
 button /
 
The sound is muted during the search process.
Note:
CD-Text
If the CD being played contains text information (CD-
Text), this is displayed on the television screen
connected to the DVD 820 M.
