MiniMed Mio 30 instructions for use
Read all instructions carefully before using MiniMed Mio 30. Consult the pump user guide before connecting
MiniMed Mio 30 to the pump. Follow proper hygiene procedures. If using MiniMed Mio 30 for the first time, do the
first set-up in the presence of a healthcare professional.

Inserting MiniMed Mio 30
Unfold the front cover of this booklet to view images
that are keyed to the steps below.
CAUTION: Check the tamper-proof seal and sterile
paper. Do not use if the seal or paper has been
broken.
1. Wash your hands before inserting the infusion set.
2. Select a recommended insertion site, shown
in grey, and as indicated by a healthcare
professional. Consult a healthcare professional for
insertion site rotation.
3. Clean the area of insertion with a disinfectant as
directed by a healthcare professional. Allow skin
to air dry for at least 30 seconds before inserting
the infusion set. If needed, remove hair around the
insertion site to prevent improper attachment of
the tape to the skin.
4. Remove the paper from the tubing. Connect the
tubing to a filled reservoir.
IMPORTANT: Make sure there is no liquid inside
the tubing connector or on top of the reservoir. If this
occurs, start over with a new reservoir and infusion
set.
5. Remove the protective cap of the site connector.
Fill the tubing until insulin drips from the tip.
Ensure there are no air bubbles in the tubing.
Consult the pump manufacturer's instructions for
use for proper filling procedures.
