Tips for maintaining maximum
battery life
Charge the battery cartridge before completely dis-

Installing or removing battery

CAUTION:
Always install the battery cartridge
fully until the red indicator cannot be seen. I f not,
it ma y a c c i d entall y f all out o f t h e tool, c ausing in j ur y to
y ou or someone aroun d y ou.

When the charging begins, the first (far left) indicating
lamp begins to flicker. Then, as charging proceeds, the
ot h er lamps lig h t, one a f ter t h e ot h er, to in d i c ate t h e
batter y c apa c it y .
NOTE: If the indicator lamp does not turn on or flicker
w h en c h arging, t h e batter y ma y be f ault y . I n t h is c ase,
ask y our lo c al ser v i c e c enter.

If the orange lamp flickers, the tool stops because of
little remaining batter y c apa c it y ( A uto-stop me c h anism ) .

Overload protection
W h en t h e tool / batter y is operate d in a manner t h at
c auses it to d ra w an abnormall y h ig h c urrent, t h e tool
stops automati c all y . I n t h is situation, turn t h e tool o f f
an d stop t h e appli c ation t h at c ause d t h e tool to be c ome
o v erloa d e d . T h en turn t h e tool on to restart.
Overheat protection
W h en t h e tool / batter y is o v er h eate d , t h e tool stops
automati c all y . I n t h is situation, let t h e tool / batter y c ool
be f ore turning t h e tool on again.
Overdischarge protection
W h en t h e batter y c apa c it y is not enoug h , t h e tool stops
automati c all y . I n t h is c ase, remo v e t h e batter y f rom t h e
tool an d c h arge t h e batter y .
Switch action
WARNING:
Before installing the battery car-
tridge into the tool, always check to see that the
switch trigger actuates properly and returns to
the " OFF " position when released.
T o start t h e tool, simpl y pull t h e s w it c h trigger. R elease
t h e s w it c h trigger to stop.
