Indications
All models of the ACCU-FLO Ventricular
®
Catheter are intended for use in the treatment
of hydrocephalus as a component of
a shunt system when draining or shunting
of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is indicated.
Description
All models of the ACCU-FLO Ventricular
Catheter are supplied sterile and are made
from silicone tubing or spring imbedded
silicone tubing with an inner diameter of
1.3 mm and an outer diameter of 2.5 mm.
A. ACCU-FLO Barium Ventricular Catheter,
catalog no. 82-1201
The ACCU-FLO Barium Ventricular Catheter
is X-ray detectable throughout with a rounded
X-ray detectable tantalum proximal tip. X-ray
detectable tantalum markings are located
5 cm and 10 cm from the proximal tip. The
catheter is 15 cm in length and is supplied
with 40 inlet holes, four rows of ten holes,
90° apart, at the proximal end. Included with
the catheter is a sterile stainless steel stylet.
B. ACCU-FLO Clear Ventricular Catheter,
catalog no. 82-1203
The 30 cm long ACCU-FLO Clear Ventricular
Catheter is provided with an X-ray detectable
tantalum dot imbedded in the clear rounded
proximal tip. An X-ray detectable tantalum
dot is also located at 15 cm. The catheter is
equipped with 40 inlet holes, four rows of ten
holes, 90° apart at the proximal end.
