Do not use force when tightening the connectors.
No additional fittings such as pressure reducers or check valves etc. must be installed on
the tube to the storage tank or other water-consuming devices!

3.2.5 Push-fit fittings

The installed John Guest-Speedfit couplings and connectors provide durable, safe and watertight connec-
tions between tubes and connectors. Existing filter installations can easily be modified or maintained by
using any of the various available connectors.
The John Guest connector consists of the connector body, retaining elements with a stainless-steel hook
and NBR-O-Rings for sealing. The connector can be assembled or disassembled without using tools.
The connection is solid before it seals watertight!

Cut tubes at right angles and without burrs. Ensure that the tube has no sharp edges, longitudinal grooves
or other damage. Insert the tube as far as it will go. The retaining element fixes the tube inside the con-
nector. The O-ring provides a permanently watertight connection.
Checking of a connection by pulling
Check if the tubes are securely inserted by attempting to pull the tube out of the connector.
Detaching of a connection
Ensure the filter is depressurized. Then push the retaining element into the connector and simultaneously
pull the tube out of the connector.

3.2.6 Electrical connection

The Verdanium Home is equipped with an IEC socket, which has an integrated fuse and a power switch.
A Power cord with a length of approx. 1.8 m is supplied with the Verdanium Home.
The electrical plug must always be easily accessible to unplug the Verdanium Home from the main grid.
The Verdanium Home may only be connected to an electrical system complying with VEM 0100 standard.
The unit label on the upper rear part of the housing provides information about the nominal power input
and the corresponding fuse. The information provided on the label must be compatible with the electrical
grid.
• Connect the Verdanium Home with the supplied power cable to the electrical grid.
• When the power switch ( I ) is turned on, the Verdanium Home starts and waits for the initial
commissioning to begin.
