3.2.3 Drainage

The drain tube of the Verdanium Home can easily be connected to all 40 - 50 mm thick plastic pipes.
Before you start with the installation, determine the positioning of the drain clamp.
When installed, the water drain should be visible. Please check that the connection to the Verdanium
Home and to the drain clamp is leak-proof with the withdrawal tap open.
Please use the illustration below as reference for the installation of the drain clamp:
• Drill a hole (above the odor trap) with a 7 mm drill bit.
• Stick the foam rubber seal into the drain clamp.
• Attach the clamp and tighten both screws evenly handtight.
• Push the plastic tube 30 mm into the drain clamp connector.
Warning!
Do not use force when tightening the clamp screws. Install the plastic tube to the Verdani-
um Home without any kinks.
No additional fittings such as pressure reducers or check valves etc. can be installed on the
tube to the drain clamp.
Warning!
The drain clamp needs to be installed above the odour trap of the siphon.

3.2.4 Connection of storage tank for dishwasher and/or washing
machine (optional)
Connecting a washing machine or a dishwasher to the ultra-pure water requires a separately available
connection adapter. Connecting multiple water-consuming devices requires additional adapters as well
either multiple storage tanks or a larger tank.
Determine the location of the storage tank before you start to install it. The storage tank should be in a
suitable location with sufficient space.
Proper functioning of the storage tank is only guaranteed if the tank is installed upright (under the sink).
The stopcock of the tank should be clearly visible and easy to operate.
The water inlet of the storage tank is open when the stopcock lever is pointing parallel to the plastic tube.
Please follow these steps to install the storage tank:
• Wrap a few layers of Teflon tape around the thread on the reservoir (if not present).
• Attach the stopcock to the storage tank.
• Insert the plastic tube into the stopcock as far as it will go (approx. 1.7 cm).
• Use the connection adapter to connect a washing machine or dishwasher.
