˜ Before use
NOTES:
All parts have to be unpacked and the
 
packaging material has to be removed
completely .
Before use: Verify the package contents are
 
complete and undamaged!
˜ Battery installation
Remove the battery compartment cover 45 .
 
Insert 2 "AAA" size (R03) batteries . Make
 
sure that the batteries are inserted with
their positive "+"and negative "–" poles
positioned correctly .
Close the battery compartment cover 45 .
 
˜ Prepare the remote control
The remote control allows the product to be
 
operated from a distance .
Even if the remote control is operated within
 
the effective range (6 metres), remote control
operation may be impossible if there are
any obstacles between the product and the
remote control .
If the remote control is operated near other
 
products which generate infrared rays, or if
other remote control devices using infra-
red rays are used near the product, it may
operate incorrectly . Conversely, the other
devices may operate incorrectly .

You can also listen to an external audio
 
device through this product .
Use the 3 .5 mm to 3 .5 mm audio cable 47
 
to an external device and to the AUX IN
socket 17 .
˜ Connect the FM aerial

Connect the FM aerial 48 to the FM ANT
 
socket 16 . Position the aerial to obtain
optimum reception .
To avoid noise: Keep the FM aerial 48 away
 
from the product's power cord 46 .

corresponds to the voltage printed on the
back or the underside of the product .
Before connecting the power cord 46 :
 
Ensure you have completed all other

connections .

Connect the power cord 46 to the wall
 
outlet .
Turn the product off completely to save
 
energy when not in use .
˜ Basic operation
˜ Standby / ON
When you first connect the main product
 
to the wall outlet and turn on the
I / O button 18 , it will be in STANDBY
mode .
Press
6 / 20 to switch the main product
 
ON .
Press
6 / 20 to switch the main product
 
back to STANDBY mode .
Disconnect the power cord 46 from the wall
 
outlet socket if you want to switch off the
product completely .
