Shutting down the system
We recommend running the appliance in fan stage 1, even during
prolonged absence.
Material losses
!
If you interrupt the power supply to the appliance, check
that humidity protection is ensured for the building.
If the appliance needs to be taken out of use for an extended
period, disconnect it from the power supply.
f Switch the appliance OFF at the ON/OFF switch.

f Replace the filters.

Recommissioning

WARNING INJURY
!
If the unit is switched on without the air ducts connected
and someone reaches through the air connectors into the
unit, there is a risk of injury.
Do not commission the unit until the air ducts are firmly
connected to it.

Never operate the unit without filters.

Never operate the ventilation system if there are high
levels of dust inside the building or outside, as this could
block the filter.
f Check whether filters are fitted in the unit.

f Check whether the condensate drain hose is damaged or

kinked.
f Switch ON the unit at the ON/OFF switch.

Maintenance, cleaning and care

WARNING Electrocution
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
carrying out work inside the appliance. Switch the ap-
pliance OFF at the ON/OFF switch. The ON/OFF switch
disconnects the power supply at all poles.
Material losses
!
Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A damp
cloth is sufficient for cleaning the unit.
Maintenance by the user is limited to inspecting and replacing
the filters, as required at specified intervals, and to cleaning the
unit. Any other maintenance work may only be carried out by a
qualified contractor.

Operation of the door contact switch during cleaning and main-
tenance work is prohibited.

Opening the unit cover

CAUTION Injury
!
The unit cover swings down after unlocking. The cover
has a high dead weight.
f Position yourself so that you cannot be hit if the unit
f
cover swings open inadvertently.
f Support the unit cover with one hand while unlock-
f
ing it.
Material losses
!
Do not let the unit cover swing freely when opening it.
Guide the unit cover with your hand.
Depending on the type of unit, the unit cover has two or three lift
and turn latches. These latches must be opened with the security
key.
f Turn the lift and turn latches 180° anti-clockwise.
f
f Carefully pivot the unit cover down.

Operate the appliance with at least the recommended
filter class. Ensure that filters are fitted accurately so they
can function properly.
Inspect the filters for the first time three months after commis-
sioning the appliance. You can lengthen or shorten the interval
for inspecting filters depending on the level of contamination.
When prompted to do so by a display message in the programming
unit, replace the filters. Replace the filters annually. Always use
original spare parts.
