Risk of electric shock!
Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with
the specifications on the rating plate.
If the mains cable and/or appliance are damaged, do NOT
use the appliance.
Keep children away from the appliance.
After using the appliance, before cleaning the appliance, if
leaving the appliance unattended or if the appliance
malfunctions, ALWAYS pull out the mains plug.
Do not operate the hand blender with wet hands and do not
run at no load.
Only use the hand blender with genuine accessories.
Caution when processing hot liquids. Liquids may splash
when being processed.
Do not immerse the appliance in liquid above the joint
between the blender foot and base unit.
Never immerse the gear attachment in liquid.

Risk of injury from sharp blades! Rotating drive!
Never grip the blades on the blender foot/in the universal
cutter.
Never clean the blender blades/cutting blade with bare
hands. Use a brush. Take hold of the cutting blade by the
plastic handle only.
Important!
Attach the blender foot/universal cutter attachment only
when the appliance is at a standstill.
Information concerning waste disposal
Please ask your dealer or inquire at your local authority
about current means of disposal.

Operating the appliance

For blending mayonnaises, sauces, drinks, baby food and
for cutting onions, ice, cooked fruit and vegetables.
For pureeing soups.
Warning!
The hand blender is not suitable for mashing potatoes.
S Fully unwind the mains cable.
S Place the blender foot on the base unit and lock into
position (1).
S Insert the mains plug.
S Add food to the blender jug (if available) or another tall
jug.
S Grip the hand blender and jug. To prevent the food from
splashing, do not press the ON button (2) until the
blender foot is immersed in the food.
Note: Always switch off the hand blender before taking it out
of the food.
Tip: To crush ice, put 2-3 ice cubes in the blender jug or
another plastic jug, hold the hand mixer in the jug, switch on
and then press onto the ice cubes.
Whisk
For beating cream, egg whites and milk shakes (cold milk,
max. 8 °C).
S Place gear attachment on the base unit and lock into
position.
Do not lay the mains cable near sharp edges or hot
surfaces.
To prevent injury, repairs such as replacing a damaged
mains cable, should be carried out by our customer service
only.
S Insert whisk into the gear attachment and lock into
position.
S Insert the mains plug.
S Add food to the blender jug.
S Grip the hand blender and jug and press the ON button.

Universal cutter
For cutting herbs, onions, fruit, vegetables, ice, hard cheese
and meat (see also Tips for cutting food in the universal
cutter").
Warning!
Before cutting meat, remove gristle, bones and sinews.
The universal cutter is not suitable for grinding coffee beans
or cutting radishes.
S Place the universal cutter (8) on a smooth, clean work
surface and press into position.
S Insert the cutting blade.
S Add the food.
S Place the attachment on the universal cutter and rotate in
a clockwise direction until it clicks into position.
S Connect the base unit to the attachment and press down
firmly while cutting the food.
S Insert the mains plug.
S Grip the base unit and universal cutter and press the ON
button (2).
After using the appliance/ Cleaning the
appliance
Warning!
Never immerse the base unit in water and do not clean in
the dishwasher.
S Pull out the mains plug.
S Press the release buttons (3) and remove the blender foot
from the base unit.
S Wipe the base unit with a damp cloth and then wipe dry.
S The blender jug can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
S Clean the blender foot in the dishwasher or with a brush
under running water.
S Leave the blender foot to dry in an upright position
(blender blade upwards) so that any water in the blender
foot can run out.
Note: If processing red cabbage, for example, the plastic
parts will become discoloured by a red film which can be
removed with a few drops of cooking oil.
Cleaning the whisk
S Remove the whisk from the gear attachment.
S The whisk can be cleaned in the dishwasher. Wipe the
gear attachment with a damp cloth only.
Cleaning the universal cutter
Warning!
Never immerse the universal cutter attachment in water and
do not clean in the dishwasher.
S Pull out the mains plug.
S Remove the base unit from the attachment.
S Rotate the attachment in an anti clockwise direction and
remove from the universal cutter.
S Take hold of the cutting blade by the plastic handle and
remove.
S Universal cutter and cutting blade are dishwasher proof.
Wipe the attachment with a damp cloth only.
Guarantee
The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined
by our representative in the country in which it is sold.
Details regarding these conditions can be obtained from the
dealer from whom the appliance was purchased. The bill of
sale or receipt must be produced when making any claim
under the terms of this guarantee.
