• The generator is suitable for alternating voltage ap-
pliances for 230 V~ and 400 V 3~.
• The generator may also be exposed to a continu-
ous load of 12 V DC (15).
• The power generator is not suitable to be connect-
ed to the house network as a home emergency
power supply. Damage to the generator or other
electrical equipment may be caused.
Switching off the engine
• Before you switch off the generator, allow it to run
briefly with no consumers so that it can "cool down".
• Move the ON/OFF switch (7) to position "OFF" us-
ing the key.
Oil warning light (9)
The display activates when the oil level is too low and
switches off the engine. As soon as the oil level is
sufficient, the engine can be restarted.
Winter operation
Since the generator is powered by a diesel engine,
special precautions must be taken for using it in
the winter. Use "winter diesel" to operate the diesel
generator in outdoor temperatures between -3°C to
-10°C. The change to winter diesel takes place at dif-
ferent times depending on the country concerned, it
is general around the end of October. You can ask at
your filling station when this change should be made.
• If you use the diesel generator regularly, you do not
need to take any precautions since the change to
winter diesel takes place automatically.
• If you do not use the generator for a lengthy period
during autumn, but then wish to use it again in win-
ter, we recommend that you keep the tank almost
empty
• Ask at your filling station when you should change
to winter diesel and fill the tank with winter diesel
before the onset of outdoor temperatures of be-
tween -3°C and -10°C.
• If the diesel fuel still freezes, you must move the
diesel generator to a place where the temperature
is approximately +10°C for a period of approximate-
ly 12 hours.
• If the tank is between halfway and full with normal
diesel fuel, this should then be drain as described
in point 8.4.
• Then fill the tank with winter diesel.
• If the tank is between empty and half-full, simply fill
it up with winter diesel.

10. Cleaning

m WARNING
Carry out maintenance work only with the stopped
engine. Pull the spark plug cap from the spark plug
We recommend that you clean the equipment imme-
diately after you use it. Clean the equipment regularly
with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use
cleaning agents or solvents; these may be aggressive
to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no
water can get into the interior of the equipment.

11. Transport

m WARNING
Let the engine cool down before transporting the ma-
chine or storing indoors to avoid burns or fire hazards.
If you want to transport the unit empty the fuel tank
before. Clean the unit with a brush or a broom of
coarse dirt.

12. Storage

Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry
and frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children.
The optimum storage temperature is between 5 and
30˚C.
Cover the electrical tool in order to protect it from
dust and moisture.
Store the operating manual with the electrical tool.

13. Maintenance

m WARNING
Carry out maintenance work only with the stopped
engine. Pull the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
Oil change
The engine oil change should take place when the
engine is at operating temperature.
• When changing the oil, have a non-leaking contain-
er available.
• Remove the engine cover (5)
• Open the oil filler plug (22)
• Undo the oil drain screw (c) and drain the warm en-
gine oil through the drain channel into a container.
• After all the oil has drained out, tighten the oil drain
screw
• Fill the engine oil to the upper mark of the dipstick
using the oil-filling container.
• Dispose of the oil in accordance with stipulations.
Take the old oil to a collection point. Most petrol
stations, garages or recycling centres take back old
oil free of charge.
