5. Control functions

This section describes the available control modes:
•

Switch control

– Control MP 204 controlled by a pressure switch
– Control MP 204 controlled by a float switch
– Control MP 204 controlled by a main control system, for
example a PLC.
An electrode relay can optionally be installed as
dry-running protection.
5.1 Switch control
Control MP 204 controlled by a pressure switch
If a constant pressure is required in a closed system, a pressure
switch can be connected. The pressure switch starts and stops
the pump according to the setpoint, pressure. Use terminals X10:
3 + 4.

If a constant level is required in an open system, a level
sensor,float switch, can be used to start and stop the pump.
When pumping into an open tank or reservoir, the pump is started
when the water level reaches the start level. The pump is stopped
when the stop level is reached.
The digital sensors used must be potential-free switches, like a
float switch or a similar type of switch. Use terminals X10: 3 + 4.

6. Taking the product out of operation

6.1 Decommissioning

Observe the following if the product is to be permanently taken
out of operation.
