Only use descaling agents that are suit-
able for the K-fee® System. For further
information, please visit our website at:

Even when a water filter is used, the
machine has to be descaled in order to
ensure optimal function.
Descaling becomes necessary when the rinse
button starts flashing red while beverages are
dispensed. The appearance of the signal depends
on the water hardness selected (p. 53).

to milk froth. Descal-
ing process starts. The
rinsing process contin-
ues automatically (see
figure 8).

Carefully read the user
instructions for desca-
ling and comply with the safety
instructions.
Caution!
Remove the water fil-
ter before descaling.
If the descaling pro-
cess is interrupted,
the appliance returns
to the descaling mode automat-
ically when switched on again.
In such a case, the milk and
rinse buttons blink alternately
and descaling can be resumed
by pressing the rinse button.
Risk of scalding!
