Inspection and servicing

1. Use appropriate protective gear as
specifi ed in plant operator's guidelines.
2. Shut off plant or plant component.
3. Secure against recommissioning.
4. Depressurize the plant or plant
component.
The operator must carry out regular visual
examination of the valves dependent on
the operating conditions and the potential
danger in order to prevent leakage
and damage. The valve also has to be
disassembled in corresponding intervals
and checked for wear (see chapter 13.1

"Replacement of spare parts").

13.1 Replacement of spare parts
Important:
After disassembly, clean all parts
of contamination (do not damage
parts). Check parts for potential
damage, replace if necessary (only
use genuine parts from GEMÜ).

1. Unscrew the cap 10 from the valve
bonnet 2 .
2. Loosen the lock nut 7.
3. Loosen the set screw 8 until the
compression spring 6 is released.
4. Loosen the cylindrical screws 9.
5. Remove the valve body 1 with
6. Clean the valve if it is heavily soiled.
7. Hold the piston 4 with an appropriate tool
from below to prevent twisting.
8. Remove the diaphragm 3.
9. Press the piston 4 upwards and remove
it.
10. Remove the compression spring 6.
Reassembly is the same procedure in
