Feature description

The photoionization detector 5000 (PID 5000) is used to
measure low concentrations of volatile organic compounds
and vapours in dry air.
3.3

Intended use

The PID 5000 must only be used in connection with the Dräger
Air Guard. The PID 5000 is used to continuously measure
volatile organic compounds and is intended for use indoors.
The PID 5000 may only be installed and commissioned by
Dräger Service or authorised Dräger specialist personnel.

Limitations of the intended use

Any use other than that mentioned in the "Intended use"
chapter shall be regarded as improper usage. The following in
particular are prohibited:
Use with devices other than the Dräger Air Guard.
Use for substances other than volatile organic compounds
of the approved oil types (see chapter 4.4.1 on page 13).
Measurement without gas treatment.
Measurement of air, which does not correspond to
EN 12021 and whose dew point is higher than -20 °C. This
means that the compliant condition must immediately be
restored if the limit value is exceeded.
