WARNING
Hazardous voltages can appear at the outer surfaces of unearthed converters.
Such voltages can result in death, severe injury or considerable damage to
property.
If the converter (plug-in or built-in unit) is installed in such a manner that it is
not earthed, an earth conductor must be connected to the chassis or housing in
order to afford protection to the operating personnel. The motor frame and the
transformer housing (where employed) must likewise be earthed. The specific
requirements regarding equipment earthing shall be taken from the appropriate
safety regulations (e.g. DIN, VDE) and from all other relevant government and
local standards.
