Fault
Excessive paint leakage
into packing nut
Material pulsates when
exiting the gun
Pump is difficult to prime.
No display, spray gun wor-
king
Cause
1. Packing nut loose
2. The packing seals are
worn or damaged
3. The piston rod is worn or
damaged
1. Air in the device or hose
2. Tip is partially clogged
3. The material container is
empty or nearly empty
1. Air in pump or hose
2. Intake valve and
circulation switch are
leaking
3. Packing seals are worn
4. Paint is too thick
1. Display is damaged or
has bad connection
Activity
1. Remove the spacer of the packing seal. Tighten the
packing nut to stop the leakage.
2. Replace seals.
3. Replace rod.
Reduce the motor speed via the potentiometer and ope-
rate the pump as slowly as possible during the suction pro-
cess.(circulation valve in vertical position for ventilation).
2. Clean the tip;
3. Refill the material container. Prime the pump; check
the material container regularly to prevent the pump from
running dry.
1. Check and tighten all threaded connections. Reduce the
motor speed via the potentiometer and operate the pump
as slowly as possible during the suction process.(circulati-
on valve in vertical position for ventilation).
2. Clean the intake valve. Be sure ball seat is not nicked
or worn and that ball seats well. Reassemble valve.
3. Replace.
4. Thin the paint according to the manufacturer's recom-
mendations.
1. Check connections. Replace display.
