5.0 Features and Terminology
The illustration below shows the major components and features of the JSG‐233A‐M sanders. These are referenced
throughout the manual and will help to familiarize you with the operation and functions of the machine.
Read and understand the entire
contents of this manual before attempting set‐up or
operation. Failure to comply may cause serious
injury.
6.0 Setup and assembly
Open box and check for shipping damage. Report any
damage immediately to your distributor and shipping
agent. Any missing parts should be reported to your
distributor. Do not discard shipping material until the
sander is assembled and running satisfactorily.

6.2 Tools required for assembly
Screw driver
10mm open spanner (supplied)
Additional tools may be needed for adjustments or
mounting the sander to a workbench.
6.3 Mounting V‐belt guard
Place the V‐belt guard (A, Fig. 6‐1) on the hub of the
drive shaft (B, Fig. 6‐2).
Attach the guard to the hub with screw (59).
