10. External power supply

External power supply: The camera can be operated with an
external power supply (check out the accessories at www.wildka-
mera.net). A 6V or 12V power supply with at least 1.5 A is required
containing a connector with a 3.5 mm external and 1.35 mm inter-
nal diameter (internal plus pole, external minus pole). The corres-
ponding socket is located at the bottom of the camera. Remove the
batteries when operating the camera with an external power supply.
Be aware that rechargeable batteries cannot be recharged in the
camera using an external power supply.
External battery box: To achieve an outstanding operating time
like it is needed to protect a remote property, a 6V lead acid battery
is the best choice. With a capacity of e.g. 4.5 Ah these batteries are
an ideal long-term source of energy for the Wild-Vision Full HD 5.0.
Please note that a suitable cable with the correct polarity (positive
pole on the inside of the plug) must be purchased as well as an
additional charger suitable for the lead acid battery.
