Use

Extraction hood

The external cooling fan is automatically
switched on and off with the oven. It cools
down the steam and vapour that exit the oven
through the extractor (7) and prevents adja-
cent units and the control panel from becom-
ing too hot.
The fan may run for a short time after the
cooker is switched off.

Retractable function selectors

The function selectors can be pushed in to
protect them from hot steam and contamina-
tion during operation.
• Briefly press the function selector to re-
tract/extract it.

Selecting the heating method

Use the function selector (4) to switch on
the oven and select the heating method:
The oven light and external cooling fan are
switched on automatically.

Defrosting (fan only)
Defrosting merely circulates unheated
air within the cooking compartment.
This accelerates the defrosting pro-
cess. No heat is applied during de-
frosting. Please observe the notes in
section „Defrosting" (see page EN-14).
Rapid heat
With the rapid heat function, the oven
reaches the set temperature fastest
(preheating). When the temperature is
reached, switch to the desired heating
method.
Convection
In convection mode, the heat is gener-
ated only by the ring heater, which is
positioned around the fan on the rear
wall of the oven. The fan distributes the
heat evenly in the oven. The choice of
ovenware for baking with convection
is not too important. Cakes will work
in both light and dark bakeware. You
can also use this function to dehydrate
food.
ECO heating mode
This optimised heating method saves
energy when preparing food. Oven
lighting is switched off
Convection and bottom heat
In this combined operation, the heat
in the oven is very intense. It is par-
ticularly suitable for gratinated dishes,
roasts, bakes and pizza. The function is
also suitable for baking moist or heavy
cakes, fruit pies made from yeast
dough or short crust pastry, as well
