GENERAL
3.1
INTENDED PURPOSE
This domestic water station is suitable for use in cold drinking water (water of the
municipal water supply) up to a maximum water temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). It is
absolutely essential that the manufacturer/supplier will be consulted prior to any
operation of the device using water of a different quality, respectively with water
that contains additives.
The domestic water station is a combination of:

The domestic water station removes coarse and fine-grained particles from the

water which are larger than or equal in size to the mesh size of the domestic water
station. Particles smaller than the supplied mesh size and impurities causing tur-
bidity cannot be filtered out of the water. However, these do not cause any prob-
lems.
The coarse and fine-grained particles can cause impurity induced corrosion dam-
age in the form of shallow pits and pitting (aeration cells) in cold water pipes and
hot water supply systems and must therefore be removed.
They can also lead to malfunctions on valves, control and regulating devices and sensitive equipment, and
can cause other technical malfunctions in the house installation.
The pressure reducer ensures, that the adjusted discharge pressure downstream of the domestic water
station is maintained, even if the supply pressure rises, e.g. during pressure peaks overnight. If the supply
pressure falls under the adjusted pressure, then also the discharge pressure falls accordingly. A domestic
water station cannot work as a booster station.
