Turn flow selector wheel (A) to 0. Ensure that it
locks into position.
Plug connection into the wall terminal unit (B) un-
til it locks into place. The gas outlet must point
downwards.
Connect accessories (C). See Order List on
page 9 for accessories.

Flow metering

Set the oxygen flow necessary for the patient on the
device.

Set flow to the mark opposite the gas outlet.

WARNING
Make sure that the selector wheel is always lo-
cked into position. No flow will be delivered if
the selector wheel is between two positions.
After use

Turn selector wheel to 0.

Cleaning and Disinfection

Observe the hygiene regulations of the hospital.
Clean all parts. Remove coarse dirt with a damp
cloth.
NOTE
– Do not autoclave the medical device.
– Do not immerse the medical device in fluid.
– Do not allow fluid to penetrate into the connec-
tions.
Otherwise, the correct functioning of the medical
device may be compromised.
Manual cleaning and disinfection
Manual disinfection should preferrably be carried out
with disinfectants based on aldehydes or quaternary
ammonia compounds.
Observe the applicable country-specific listings for
disinfectants. The list of the German Association for
Applied Hygiene (Verbund für Angewandte Hygiene
VAH) applies in German-speaking countries.
The composition of the disinfectant is the responsi-
bility of the manufacturer and can change over time.
Strictly observe the manufacturer's information on
the disinfectant.
Carry out manual cleaning and disinfection
Remove soilings with a wet wipe.
WARNING
Penetrating liquid may cause malfunction of or
damage to the device, which may endanger the
patient. Only wipe-disinfect items and make
sure no liquids penetrate into the device.
1 Carry out surface disinfection.
2 After contact time, remove disinfectant residues.

Disposal of the Medical Device

When disposing of the medical device:
Consult the relevant waste disposal company for
appropriate disposal.
Observe the applicable laws and regulations.
