Maintenance
NOTE
The medical device must be subjected to general
overhaul every 6 years by trained technical per-
sonnel. Repair of the medical device must also be
performed by trained technical personnel.
Dräger recommends that a service contract is ob-
tained with DrägerService and that all repairs are
performed by DrägerService. Dräger further re-
commends that only authentic Dräger repair parts
are used for maintenance.
If the above are not complied with, the correct func-
tioning of the medical device may be compro-
mised.
Accessories
CAUTION
Only the accessories indicated on the "Order List"
on page 9 have been tested and approved for use
with the medical device.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended that only
these accessories are used in conjunction with the
medical device. Otherwise, the correct functioning
of the medical device may be compromised.
Patient safety
The design of the medical device, the accompanying
documentation, and the labeling on the medical de-
vice are based on the assumption that the purchase
and the use of the medical device are restricted to
trained professionals, and that certain inherent char-
acteristics of the medical device are known to the
trained user. Instructions and WARNING and CAU-
TION statements are therefore largely limited to the
specifics of the Dräger medical device.
These Instructions for Use do not contain references
to various hazards which are obvious to a medical

professional who operates this medical device as
well as references to the consequences of medical
device misuse, and to potentially adverse effects in
patients with different underlying diseases. Medical
device modification or misuse can be dangerous.

Intended Use

Compact flowmeter for metering the O
fined increments:
1 to 15 L/min.
For connection to O
delivery sockets.

For insufflation or inhalation for patients with sponta-
neous breathing with the accessories required for
operation.
CAUTION
Set the O
flow necessary for the patient. Monito-

ring of oxygen saturation is recommended, espe-
cially for neonates.

Do not allow the O

contact with oil, grease or flammable liquids.
No smoking, no naked flames – fire hazard.

Preparation

CAUTION
Check the medical device before use. Do not use
the medical device if it is damaged. Risk of breaka-
ge.
NOTE
Use the medical device only within the specified
pressure range and environmental conditions. Ob-
serve section "Technical Data". Otherwise, the cor-
rect functioning of the medical device may be com-
promised.

To change the gas type labelling to neutral color:
Pierce the ISO gas type sticker in the center using a
sharp object and remove. Remove the protective film
from the neutral color gas type sticker supplied and
attach it in the center of the flow control dial.
Remove protective cap from the outlet connec-
tion. Keep for future transport or storage.
WARNING
If the cap is left on the outlet connection, it may
come off suddenly when the device is connec-
ted, causing injury.
