Electrical connections

8.4.1
Before connecting the power cables to the line input terminals, ensure that the main switch on the power
distribution panel is in OFF position (O) and that no one can switch on the power accidentally.
8.4.2
Scrupulously observe all the regulations in force concerning safety and accident prevention.
8.4.3
Ensure that all the terminals are fully tightened, paying particular attention to the earth terminal.
8.4.4
Connect the cables to the terminal board as indicated in the wiring diagrams given in the enclosed booklet.
8.4.5
Check that all the connecting cables are in excellent condition, with the external sheathing unbroken.
8.4.6
Check that the differential switch that protects the system is of the right size.
Provide automatic protection of the supply line against short circuits with ACR fuses type "gG".
8.4.7
The apparatus must be correctly and safely earthed as required by the
regulations in force.
8.4.8
Instrumental checks to be carried out by the installer:
a) continuity of the protection leads and of the main and supplementary equipotential circuits;
b) insulation resistance of the electric system;
c) test efficiency of the differential protection;
d) test the applied voltage;
e) test operation as indicated in point 8.6

Supplying power to the control panel

After having correctly performed the steps described above, turn the switch ref. SA1 to position 0 and the switch ref. QM1 to
position I, and close the panel door. Turn the isolating switch ref. QS1 on the panel door to 0. Supply power to the control
panel, switching on the main switch on the distribution panel. Switch on the panel with the isolating switch refQS1.The
electropumps are not fed.
8.6

Starting the system

1. Ensure that the external commands are in OFF position (command excluded).
2. Turn the selector ref.SA1 to position MAN. The electropump P1 is fed as long as the manual impulse lasts.
3. Turn the switch ref. SA1 to AUT position.
 For systems with one float the start command is given by the float ref. A (the float ref. B must be jumped).
 For systems with two floats, the start command is given by the maximum level float (connected to the terminals
ref. B) and the stop command by the minimum level float (connected to the terminals ref.A).
Avoid starting the system by turning the isolating switch (ref. QS1) with the switch
(ref. SA1) in a position other than 0.
8.7

Alarm system

1. Check correct operation of the alarm float connected to the terminals ref. P (n°25-26).
2. With the alarm float in ON position check correct operation of the remote alarm connected to the terminals Q
(n°31-32), remembering that the contact as supplied in the standard version has no potential.
N.B.: The feeding circuit of the alarm system must be provided with a PELV safety circuit (CEI EN 60204-1).
Otherwise, ensure that the earth lead of the float is connected to the terminal
Disconnect the power before maintenance.
