1. Insert the SUS 2 distally through the eye of the SUS
telescope element (Fig. 4).
2. Insert the SUS 2 together with the SUS
distally into the headgear tube and bend it mesially. It is
essential to maintain a gap of approx. 4 mm between
the head of the and the distal end of the headgear
tube (Fig. 5) to ensure that there is enough clearance for
the SUS 2 .
3. Bend the SUS 2 between the band and hook of the
buccal tube or shorten it and secure in position using
composite / acrylic (Important!) (Fig. 6).
4. Bend the SUS 2 to the distal of the headgear tube
by approx. 20° and fi nely adjust (Fig. 7).
5. Insert the SUS 2 telescope rod into the SUS
element (guide tube and middle telescope tube) which
is fi xed in position in the upper jaw.
