4.15 RADIATOR _______________________________________________________________

!
To prevent serious bodily injury from hot coolant or
steam blow-out, never attempt to remove the radiator
cap while the engine is running. Stop the engine and
wait until it is cool. Even then, use extreme care when
removing the cap.
!
Do not pour cold water into a hot radiator. Do not operate
engine without a proper coolant mixture. Install cap and
tighten securely.
Check coolant level daily. Radiator should be full and
recovery bottle should be up to the cold mark.
Drain and refill annually. Remove the radiator cap, open the
engine block drain and the radiator drain. Empty and clean
the recovery bottle.
Mix clean water with ethylene glycol based anti-freeze for
the coldest ambient temperature. Read and follow the
instructions on the anti-freeze container and engine manual.
Keep radiator and hydraulic oil cooler air passages clean.
Use compressed air (30 psi maximum) to clean the fins.
To clean radiator:
1.
Turn out thumb screws (A) securing hydraulic oil cooler
to the radiator and tip cooler away from radiator as
shown.

4.16 ROLLOVER PROTECTION STRUCTURE (ROPS) ________________________________

A Rollover Protection System (ROPS), designed for this
tractor, is available as an optional accessory. If your tractor is
equipped with this device, inspect it periodically and follow
operating procedures described in the Safety & Operation
Manual
!
Do not loosen or remove bolts, do not weld, drill, modify,
bend or straighten a damaged structure.

4.17 TIRES ___________________________________________________________________

1.
Keep tires properly inflated to prolong tire life. Check
inflation pressure while the tires are cool. Inspect tread
wear.
2.
Check pressure every 50 hours or once a month. Use
an accurate, low pressure tire gauge.
3.
Keep tires inflated to 10-12 psi (69 -87 kPa).

2.
Use a blow gun to clean the radiator and oil cooler fins.
Note: A sliding panel located under the frame can be
loosened and pulled back to allow dirt and debris to fall
though frame.
3.
Fasten oil cooler to radiator.
4.
Check and tighten the fan belt. Replace clamps and
hoses every two years.
5.
If you have to add coolant more than once a month, or
add more than one quart at a time, have a Textron Turf
Care And Specialty Products Dealer check the cooling
system.
1.
The seat, the seat belt, mounting hardware and any
accessories within the ROPS, should be inspected reg-
ularly and all damaged parts replaced immediately.
2.
Once the ROPS has been subjected to any form of
impact it should be replaced.
3.
Check and retorque all hardware. All replacement
components used for the ROPS must be as specified
in the Parts Catalog.
!
Unless you have the proper training, tools and
