» Do not use the appliance if the jug
is damaged. Use the jug only for this
appliance. Be careful when handling
the jug as it breaks easily. Never
put an (almost) empty glass jug on
the heated hot plate or on other hot
surfaces.
» Never operate the appliance without
water. Important: your jug cannot
be put in the microwave oven to
warm up the coffee. We shall not
be held responsible for any damages
caused by the non-observance of this
instruction.
Always unplug the appliance
after use!
(*) Competent qualified electrician:
after sales department of the produ-
cer or importer or any person who is
qualified, approved and competent
to perform this kind of repairs in or-
der to avoid all danger. In any case
you should return the appliance to
this electrician.

INITIAL OPERATION

· For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or
3 boil-processes with fresh water
(without coffee). These boil-pro-
cesses are absolutely necessary.
· Once all the water has passed
through, switch the appliance off
and let it cool down during 5 minu-
tes. Then repeat the process with
fresh water.

PREPARATION OF COFFEE

· Raise the handle of the lid (6) to
open the lid of the water tank (5)
PICTURE A and pour the desired
amount of water into the water
tank. Make sure not to overfill by
10
filling water for maximum 10 cups
of coffee. The number of cups can
be read from the internal water
level indicator (10). Each level cor-
responds to an amount of two more
cups.
· Insert a paper filter (size 4) in the
filter holder and add the desired
quantity of ground coffee (1 teas-
poon per cup, approximately 6g).
Pay attention: fold the bottom and
the side edges of the paper filter in
such a way that it fits perfectly in
the filter holder PICTURE B.
· Note: you can take out the filter
holder by putting the handle in
vertical position and taking out the
filter holder in an upward movement
PICTURE C. To put it back, proceed
in reverse order.
