· Do not forget to close the lid (5) be-
fore switching on your coffee maker.
Close it firmly with a light pressure
from above.
· Put the glass jug (3) with closed lid
(4) on the hot plate (2) under the
filter system.
· To switch on the machine, press the
on/off switch (8). The ring of light
(7) around the switch will light up,
indicating that the appliance is wor-

· When the brewing process is over,
remove the glass jug from the hot
plate and pour the desired amount of
coffee.
· When you remove the glass jug from
the appliance, a non-drip valve will
automatically operate to stop any
drops of coffee dripping onto the
hotplate. Replacement of the jug au-
tomatically opens the non-drip valve
and allows remaining coffee to filter
through into the jug.
· Wait until the brewing process is
finished and the filter has run empty.
Switch off the appliance by pressing
the ON/OFF switch again so that the
ring of light goes out and unplug the
appliance.
· Note: if you accidentally forget to
switch off the coffee maker, it swit-

ches off automatically after 2 hours
and a half.

DECALCIFICATION AND CLEANING

· When you notice that the coffee ma-
king process is longer than it should
be, it is probably time to decalcify
the appliance. Do not wait until the
situation gets worse. The decal-
cifying frequency depends on the
amount of lime in water and there-
fore can be different from family to
family. Therefore it is important to
pay attention to this.
· We advise you to descale the coffee
maker to prolong its life span. For
descaling only use products espe-
cially made for descaling of coffee
makers and follow their instruction
manual. Then rinse the appliance
twice with fresh water, without
coffee powder. Guarantee claims will
not be accepted for appliances that

have not been descaled.
· Never use a dishwasher to clean the
appliance or its accessories. Just
clean the jug in soapsuds.
· To clean the exterior parts of the
appliance, use a damp, non abrasive
cloth. Then wipe them dry.
