enerAl notes on sAfety
This operation manual is applicable for the machine USK
6-R. The machine may only be handled by personnel who
are qualified. Hold power tools by insulated gripping sur-
faces when performing an operation where the cutting
tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact
with a «live» wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool
«live» and shock the operator.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future
reference.

which it is intended
The machine is intended for the cleaning, grinding and
polishing of metal with cleaning and non-woven brushes
and polishing rings without the use of water. The machine
is designed exclusively for a 2-hand application.

All uses other than those described under section
1.2 are regarded as incorrect use and are there-
fore not admissible.

rior to tAKing the mAchine into serVice
Before connecting tool to a power
source, be sure the voltage sup-
plied is the same as specified on
the name plate of the tool.
The power supply should not vary more than 10% above
or below the voltage indicated on the nameplate. Check
grinding tool prior to use. The grinding tool must be
mounted centrally and positioned against the limit stop.
The maximum allowable speed of the tool and of the

chuck may not be exceeded under any circumstances.
Observe national regulations. Remove safety guard.

The switch must be in the OFF position. To turn the ma-
chine on, push the ON/OFF switch toward the front unteil
it clicks in. Press the ON/OFF swith to trigger the blocking
and the machine shuts down.
