Switching between mode STANDARD and POS is done
by press and hold the ALU button for 3 seconds.
During the measurement of the data the real values of
the correction planes on the rim are detected. The no-
minal values of the rim are calculated from those real
values. The display of the nominal values is meant as an
indication only, those are not relevant for the imbalan-
ce measurement.
Out of this it might happen that the nominal values dis-
played do not exactly correspond with the values of the
rim, i.e. a width of 5 inches is displayed while the rim is
5,5 inch rim.
5.3

Setting the wheel data

The wheel balancer automatically detects that wheel
data are entered.
Is the wheel positioned in any other position that the 12
o´clock position and the gauge arm is moved from its
home position the balancer switches to „read wheel
data".
Is the wheel positioned in the 12 o´clock position „place
adhesive wheel weights with gauge arm" is active. In
order to read wheel data the wheel simply has to be
moved out of the 12 o´clock position.

5.3.1.1 Program A - STEEL

For Steel- and alloy rims with clip on weights attached
to the rim edge

The distance between machine and rim is automatical-
ly detected.
Extend the outside gauge to the position 1 and hold in
place until an audible signal is heard.
Replace the gauge back into its home position.
Wheel data can also be entered by using the +/- keys.
A further audible signal is heard for the confi rmation that
the arm has reached ist home position.

Enter rim diameter manually via the +/- button.
! The actual value is automatically stored when ano-
ther button is pressed or the wheel guard is closed to
start the measuring run.

The rim diameter is automatically detected together
with the distance by the inner gauge arm.
BM 10-2 / 11 / 20-2 / 30-2 / 40-2 / 50-2
The rim width is preset depending on distance and dia-
meter. Out of that the value for the rim width does only
has manually to be corrected a little or not entered at
all.
The preset value for the rim width is displayed after di-
stance and diameter have been stored. The value can
be corrected by pressing the +/- button.
i Measure the nominal rim width using the rim width
gauge or check the dimensions stamped on the rim.
Enter the value manually via the +/- buttons.
! Die Felgenbreite wird bei Drücken jeder anderen Ta-
ste oder Schließen des Radschutz automatisch über-
nommen.
