or open the lid (13) and pour the water in di-
rectly.
2 Plug the appliance into the mains.
3 Press the ON / OFF (1). Pilot lights turns fixed.
While heated, the rear lights flash. Once they
remain fixed:
The luminous indicators will stay a fixed white
when it has reached working temperature and
is ready to brew coffee. During the heating cy-
cles the light will flash again and will not per-
mit coffee to be brewed.
We recommend placing the cups on top of the
cup warmer tray (9) so that they warm up du-
ring this operation and ensure a better cream
in the coffee.
Brewing the coffee
1 Place the filter that you wish to use, 1 or 2
cups(5, 6) into the filter holder (4).
2 Use the scoop (17) to measure in the coffee.
Press the coffee down as per taste.
One scoop represents the recommended
amount for one cup.
3 If you wish to use coffee capsules, follow the
instructions given below: A. Open the unit me-
asure bag. Place the capsule filter (7) into the
filter holder (4). Place the capsule into the fil-
ter holder.
4 Put the filter holder (4) into the coffee maker.

Make sure that the filter holder is securely
closed, pushing the handle from left to right,
otherwise it may drip.
5 Place one or two cups below the coffee outlet
holes (8).
Coffee extraction (brew)
If you want your first coffee to be hotter, fit the
filter holder without coffee and allow one or
two cups of hot water to come out, this will
heat up the coffee maker components.
1 Press button (2 or 3) depending on whether
you want 1 or 2 cups. The luminous indicator
on the corresponding button will light up:
2 The coffee will begin to come out for the pro-
grammed time.
During the brewing cycle the luminous indica-
tor on the selected button will remain in white.
3 If you wish to stop the brewing cycle before
time, press the corresponding button again.
Brewing will stop.
Automatic pre-brewing function
After selecting the brew cycle, the coffee maker
injects a little water to moisten the ground coffee
just before brewing, which improves the aroma.
This also helps to pack the ground coffee tighter
to produce a brew at higher pressure, improving
the quality of the coffee and, in short, the cream.
Changing preset brew times
1 ress the corresponding button (1 or 2 cup) for
3 seconds, the coffee will come out when you
release the button.
2 Press the corresponding button (1 or 2 cup)
again and the coffee will stop coming out. The
coffee outlet time will remain programmed for
subsequent brews.
The amount of coffee needed for 1 or 2 cups
may vary from brew to brew depending on the
type of coffee used and how tight it is packed.
Nevertheless, the programmed brewing times
will remain constant.
Resetting preset brew times
1 Press the two buttons (2 and 3) at the same
time for 3 seconds.
The ON/OFF luminous indicator will remain
on white. The preset brewing values have
now been re-established.
Cleaning
If you have used ground coffee, clean out the
grounds by placing the filter holder under a
running tap.
If you have used a capsule, remove it and put
it in the rubbish.
B- STEAM
To avoid possible burns always handle the
steam nozzle (10) by the protector (11).
To heat any type of liquid using the steam
nozzle (10).
1 Place the cup containing the liquid to heat be-
low the steam nozzle.
2 Set the steam nozzle control (15) to the "Pre-
heating" position
The ON/OFF luminous indicator (1) will flash
(the other pilot lights will switch off) and then

remain fixed white when the steam nozzle is
ready for use
3 Insert the steam nozzle (10) into the liquid to
heat and gradually open the steam nozzle
control (15), to "Fully open" if you wish D2.
At the beginning a little water will come out.
If you wish, you can use an empty container
to catch this water before inserting the steam
nozzle into the liquid you want to heat.
If the steam loses pressure, set the steam
