Electrical connections

Unconnected plugs do not comply with protection class IP65!
Water may enter the device.
To maintain the protection class IP65, assemble blanking plugs on all unconnected plugs.
The bus coupler has the following electrical connections:
X7P2 plug (5): fieldbus input
X7D1 socket (6): fieldbus output

X1S plug (7): 24 V DC power supply for bus coupler
Ground screw (8): functional earth

The tightening torque for the connection plugs and sockets is 1.5 Nm +0.5.
The tightening torque for the M4x0.7 nut (SW7) on the ground screw is 1.25 Nm +0.25.
The fieldbus input X7P2 (5) is an M12 plug, male, 5-pin, B-coded.
The fieldbus output X7P1 (6) is an M12 socket, female, 5-pin, B-coded.
See Table 6 for the pin assignments of the fieldbus connection. The view shown displays the
device connections.

The bus coupler supplies a voltage of 5 V to pin 1 and 3 for the operation of converters, etc. Supply voltage is not required to
operate the bus coupler itself.

Danger caused by incorrectly assembled or damaged cables!
The bus coupler may be damaged.
Only use shielded and tested cables.
Only use type A fieldbus cables in accordance with IEC 61158 that meet the following requirements:
2-wire
Twisted wires
Wire cross-section of at least 0.34 mm
Shielded
Shield connected to the connection threading
The bus length can be up to 1.2 km without a repeater depending on the transfer rate.
Without a repeater, 32 bus participants (slaves) per segment can be connected. With repeaters,
this can be expanded to up to 126 bus participants (slaves).
See Table 7 for the maximum permissible line length based on the baud rate.
