5. Pull the battery (9)out of the battery
charger (18).

Used batteries

• If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to be
replaced. Only use an OEM battery
pack replacement available from our
Customer Service.
• Always take heed of the applicable
safety instructions as well as the envi-
ronmental protection regulations and
information (see "Cleaning and Main-
tenance").

Adjusting the guard

Before use, check that the guard (4) is se-
curely fastened. There is a risk of injury.
The device must only be op-
erated with the guard (4) in
place.
1. Loosen the adjusting screw (1).
2. Adjust the guard (4) to fit the thickness of
the material.
3. Re-tighten the adjusting screw (1).
