Problem
The jar does not stand sta-
ble on the motor base.
During operation, a little
smoke escapes and you
notice a strange odour.
The jar is leaking.
Your Food is too finely
chopped or too watery.
Reason
The jar is in wrong
orientation.
The appliance is new.
A severe problem
occurred.
The blade assembly is not
installed correctly.
The seals of the jar and lid
are not properly in place
or missing.
The seals are damaged.
The sealing surfaces at the
jar or blade assembly are
not clean or damaged.
The glass body of the jar
is damaged.
The food has been over
processed.
The Solution
With the jar in correct orientation, the handle of the jar
points to the right side of the motor base.
This may occur, when the motor is started for the very
first time. The problem will vanish with further use. There
is no need for concern. Ensure good ventilation.
When the appliance has been in use already for several
times, this may be a result of any malfunction. Do not
attempt to operate the appliance again, but contact your
vendor for examination and repair.
Leakage may occur, as a result of various problems (see
also first entry in this table). Install the blade assembly
according to the instructions in section 'Care and Cleaning
/ After Cleaning—Reassembling the Jar'. Ensure that
the sealing screw is not tilted.
Ensure that the sealing ring at the bottom of the jar is
inserted properly (see: 'Care and Cleaning / After Clea-
ning—Reassembling the Jar'). Ensure that the gasket of
the lid is installed correctly at the rim of the lid (see: 'Care
and Cleaning / After Cleaning—Reassembling the Jar').
The seals may not be cracked, scratched, or brittle.
Always handle the seals with care. Do not use any hard
or abrasive materials for cleaning. Contact your vendor
for replacement.
The sealing surfaces must be completely clean and
smooth and may not be scratched or chipped. The rim of
the base plate may not be bent. If in doubt, contact your
vendor for examination and replacement. Do not place
any hard or heavy objects on the parts of the
appliance. Do not use violence.
The glass body may not be cracked, scratched, or chipped.
Do not knock the jar against hard objects or
expose it to extreme variations in tempera-
ture. Do not use any extremely hard or abrasive materials
for cleaning. Contact your vendor for replacement.
The Vital Mixer Plus needs only a few seconds for achie-
ving best results. Try short pulses.
