The specified vibration value was established in ac-
cordance with a standardized testing method. It may
change according to how the electric equipment is
used and may exceed the specified value in excep-
tional circumstances.
The specified vibration value can be used to compare
the equipment with other electric power tools.
The specified vibration value can be used for initial
assessment of a harmful effect.

Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the mains sup-
ply make sure that the data on the rating plate are
identical to the mains data.
Warning! Always pull the power plug before mak-
ing adjustments to the equipment.
Changing the saw blade (fig. 2)
• Remove the battery before you fit or replace a saw
blade.
• The teeth of the saw blade (A) are very sharp.
• Turn the saw blade holder (9) and push the saw
blade (A) up to the stop.
• Allow the blade holder (9) to slide back to starting
position.
• Make sure that the saw blade (A) sits in the guide
roller (7).
• Check that the saw blade (A) is securely mounted.
• To remove the saw blade, proceed in reverse order.
Setting the soleplate (fig. 3)
• Remove the adapter for dust extraction (4) from the
device so that the screw securing the soleplate (11)
becomes visible.
• Use the Allen wrench (12) to loosen the screw se-
curing the soleplate (11).
• Move the soleplate (5) into the desired locking po-
sition. The respective tilt angle can be seen on the
scale.
• Re-tighten the screw securing the soleplate (11).
Adapter for dust extraction (fig. 1)
• Connect your jigsaw to a vacuum cleaner using the
adaptor for dust extraction (4). This will provide ex-
cellent dust extraction on the work piece. The ben-
efits are that you will protect both the equipment
and your own health. Your work area will also be
cleaner and safer.
• Dust created when working may be dangerous. Re-
fer to the section entitled "Safety instructions".
• Fit the vacuum tube of the vacuum cleaner onto the
adaptor opening (4). Check that the connections
are air-tight.

Operation

On/Off switch (fig. 1)
To switch on:
Press the On/Off switch (1)
To switch off :
Release the On/Off switch (1)
Locking button (fig. 1)
You can lock the On/Off switch (1) using the locking
button (3) when the equipment is in operation. To
switch off the equipment, press the On/Off switch (1)
briefly.
Electric speed selector (fig. 1/pos. 1)
You can pre-select the required speed with the speed
selector. Turn the speed selector in PLUS director to
increase the speed and turn the speed selector in MI-
NUS direction to reduce the speed. The appropriate
stroke speed depends on the material you want to
cut and on the working conditions. The general rules
for cutting speeds in metal also apply. While you can
generally use a higher speed with fine saw blades,
lower speeds are required for coarse saw blades.
Setting the pendulum action (fig.1)
• The strength of the pendulum action of the saw
blade can be adjusted using the selector switch for
pendulum action (6).
• You can adjust the cutting speed, cutting perfor-
mance and appearance of the cut to the work
piece you want to saw.
Set the selector switch for pendulum action (6) to one
of the following positions:
Position 0 = no pendulum action
Material: Rubber, ceramic, aluminium, steel
Please note: For fine clean cuts, thin materials (e.g.
sheet steel) and hard materials.
Position 1 = small pendulum action
Material: Plastic, wood, aluminium
Please note: For hard materials
Position 2 = medium pendulum action
Material: Wood
Position 3 = large pendulum action
Material: Wood
Please note: For soft materials and sawing along the
grain
The best combination of speed and pendulum action
depends on the material you want to saw. We recom-
mend you to make a trial cut on a waste piece in
order to check the ideal settings.
