Your MIC-KEY* SF Feeding Tube has a balloon inside the stomach that has been inflated to hold
the tube in place. Your Medical Professional filled it with sterile or distilled water after the tube was
inserted.

THE SYRINGES

A small Luer slip syringe is included with your MIC-KEY* SF Feeding Tube Kit as well as the MIC-KEY*
SF Starter Kit. Use this syringe to inflate and deflate the retention balloon when checking its volume
and when you replace the MIC-KEY* SF Feeding Tube.
The 60 ml Catheter Tip Syringe included in the MIC-KEY* SF Starter Kit should be used to prime and
flush the MIC-KEY* SF Extension Sets before and after feedings as well as to check for proper tube
placement.
