10. Commissioning
Do not operate the device until you have familiarized yourself with the functions and this operating manual. Check again
that all connections are correct. You should not listen to music at an excessive volume over a longer period of time. This
applies especially when listening to music with headphones. Excessive volume can cause hearing loss.
10. 1. Switching the mixer on and off
Not observing the following sequence when switching the mixer on and off could damage the loudspeakers or the ampli er.
10.1.1. Switching on:
Make sure that all channel faders are set to the minimum volume (slide channel fader right to the bottom).
First switch on the playback devices that are connected to the mixer.
Switch on the mixer using the on/off "POWER" switch (14); the operating indicator will light up.
Switch on the connected ampli er. The mixer is now ready to use.
10.1.2. Switching off:
To switch off the mixer, rst turn the volume on the ampli er back to the minimum setting.
Switch off the ampli er.
Then switch off the mixer using the on/off POWER switch and then switch off the playback devices (turntable, CD player etc.).
If you do not require the mixer for a longer period, remove the plug-in power unit from the socket.
10.1.3 Select input
Select the required inputs using the PHONO1 LINE1 and PHONO2- LINE2 input switches (4).
Example:
PHONO1 LINE1 switch in the position PHONO 1 means that the signal of the turntable on the PHONO 1 jacks is applied at channel CH-1.
The LINE1 input is not reproduced in this switch position. To reproduce the LINE 1 input, the PHONO1 LINE1 input selection switch has to be
switched to position LINE1.
Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader before an input selection switch is changed over. Due to the
different volumes of the input sources, sudden, excessive volume could otherwise be the result
Set input level
•
Using the input level controls GAIN (3), adjust the mixer input to the output signal of the connected playback device concerned.
•
Set the GAIN control (3) to the left stop position "0".
•
Start the connected playback device, e.g. CD player.
•
Slowly increase the input sensitivity of the mixer by turning the GAIN control in a clockwise direction until the desired level is reached.
•
Make sure that the signal does not sound distorted. If this occurs, reduce the input level.
•
The channels should all have about the same volume so that when cross-fading between the channels, no great differences in volume arise
and you thus have to regulate the output signal.
Set output level
•
Using the output level control MASTER (12), adjust the mixer output to the input of the connected ampli er.
•
Set the MASTER control (12) to the left stop position "0".
•
Start the connected playback device, e.g. CD player. Slide the corresponding channel fader right to the top.
•
Slowly increase the output level of the mixer by turning the MASTER control (12) in a clockwise direction. Observe here the recording
level display (10); the red light-emitting diodes should not light up or should do so only brie y as otherwise the connected ampli er can be
overmodulated and the signal distorted.
•
Turn the volume control of the connected ampli er to a suitable volume.
Make sure that the connected loudspeakers and the ampli er are not overloaded. The playback should not be distorted
in any way. If distorted music signals can be heard although the volume on the ampli er has not been set too high and
the mixer has been set correctly, switch off the mixer immediately and check the connection. If you can nd no fault in
the connection, please contact a specialist.
Using the headphones / pre-listening:
Before plugging in or putting on the headphones, switch the mixer on or off and always turn the headphone volume to the minimum
(CUE LEVEL control (1) to position "0") rst. Increase the volume to a level that is comfortable for you only after you have put the
headphones on.

(11) Af chage de fonctionnement
L'af chage de fonctionnement s'allume quand l'appareil est branché.
(12) Bouton de réglage niveau de sortie «MASTER»
Ce bouton vous permet de régler le niveau du signal de sortie de la table de mixage (OUTPUT).
Position «0» = niveau de sortie minimal.
Position «10» = niveau de sortie maximal.
(13) Bouton CH1/1+2/CH2
Ce bouton vous permet de régler le canal de lecture pour le casque.
En position «CH1», le signal qui se trouve sur le canal de fader CH1 est reproduit dans le casque ; en position «CH2», c'est le signal qui se
trouve dans le canal fader CH2.
En position «1+2», les signaux du canal fader CH1 et CH2 sont reproduits ensemble dans la sortie casque.
(14) Interrupteur Marche/Arrêt «POWER»
Ce bouton vous permet d'activer ou de désactiver la table de mixage.
Lorsque la table de mixage est activée (bouton en position «ON»), l'af chage de fonctionnement «POWER» est éclairé.
Le composant réseau che consomme de l'électricité, même si l'appareil est éteint. C'est pourquoi il est également nécessaire de
tirer le composant réseau che de la prise si vous voulez séparer complètement l'appareil du réseau.
(15) Douille de raccordement basse tension «AC9V 1000 mA»
La prise basse tension de la pièce réseau che livrée est raccordée à cette douille.
(16) Sortie «OUTPUT»
Le signal de sortie de la table de mixage se trouve sur ces sorties non symétriques Stéréo-Cinch. Reliez ces douilles à leur ampli cateur.
(17) Entrée LINE CH2
Cette entrée non symétrique Stéréo-Cinch vous permet de raccorder un lecteur de CD, un Tuner, un lecteur MP3 ou un autre appareil de
reproduction avec un niveau Cinch. L'entrée LINE2 se trouve sur le canal FADER CH2.
(18) Entrée PHONO CH2
Cette entrée non symétrique Stéréo-Cinch vous permet de raccorder un lecteur de disques. L'entrée PHONO2 se trouve sur le canal FADER
CH2. Les douilles PHONO sont exclusivement prévues pour des lecteurs de disques avec des systèmes magnétiques, et disposent d'un pré-
ampli cateur correcteur de distorsion correspondant.
(19) Attache vissée pour mise à la masse GND
Pour éviter des bruits de ron ement, utilisez ces attaches pour raccorder à la masse entre la table de mixage et les conducteurs de masse du
lecteur de disques (généralement un câble noir avec une cosse).
(20) Entrée LINE CH1
Un lecteur de CD, un Tuner, un lecteur MP3 ou un autre appareil de reproduction avec un niveau Cinch peuvent être raccordés à cette entrée
non symétrique Stéréo-Cinch. L'entrée LINE1 se trouve sur le canal FADER CH1.
(21) Entrée PHONO CH1
Cette entrée non symétrique Stéréo-Cinch vous permet de raccorder un lecteur de disques. L'entrée PHONO1 se trouve sur le canal FADER
CH1. Les douilles PHONO sont exclusivement prévues pour des lecteurs de disques avec des systèmes magnétiques, et disposent d'un pré-
ampli cateur correcteur de distorsion correspondant.
(22) Composant réseau à che
Le composant réseau à che sert exclusivement à la mise sous tension de la table de mixage.
