Procedure for Flash Photography

1.
Press the
mode.
Since slow shutter speeds are usually selected in

then shoot.
Flash shooting range
The reference distance values are shown below.
With ISO100 film speed:
(wide-angle) setting: approx. 0.8 to 3.3 m (2.6 to 10.8 ft.)
(telephoto) setting: approx. 0.8 to 1.9 m (2.6 to 6.2 ft.)
With ISO400 film speed:
(wide-angle) setting: approx. 0.8 to 6.6 m (2.6 to 21.7 ft.)
(telephoto) setting: approx. 0.8 to 3.8 m (2.6 to 12.5 ft.)
Do NOT press against the flash unit. If extra force is applied
to the flash unit, the orange LED blinks as a warning. (In this
case, the shutter is released, but the flash does not fire.)
