Very hot water comes out of the nozzle.
There is a risk of burns.
8. HEATING LIQUIDS

The steam pipe may be used (without the
frother) to make hot drinks such as hot
chocolate, water or tea.
Method:
• Fill the tank, if necessary, and fit it back
onto the coffee maker again.
• Prepare the coffee maker for creating
steam (see the "Making cappuccino
coffee" section).
• Remove the frother "j" from the steam
pipe (first turn it anti-clockwise).
• Do not fill the container right to the top
with the liquid to be heated.
• Insert the steam pipe in the liquid to be
heated. Turn the dial "e" to steam
position
steam (20).
Note:
During this process, it is normal for the red
heating light "f" to come on and for the
pump to make noise.
• When you finish, turn the dial "e" to its
central position 0 and remove the jug.

9. HEATING WATER

The coffee maker may be used to heat
water for hot drinks such as tea or instant
soups.
Method:
• Fill the tank, if necessary, and fit it back
onto the coffee maker again.
• Remove the frother "j" from the steam
pipe (first turning it anti-clockwise). Turn
the switch "d" to
position).
• Insert the steam pipe in the water to be

• When the water has been heated
sufficiently, turn the dial to its central
position 0 again and remove the jug.
Note:
You can boil the water by turning the switch
"d" to steam position
During this process, it is normal for the red
heating light "f" to come on and for the
pump to make noise.
10. SOME TIPS
• We recommend you keep your espresso
coffee in the fridge, to protect it from light
and air and to prolong its flavour.
• Clean the inside of the coffee maker (see
the "Preparing the coffee maker"
section) if it has been out of use for a long
time.
• Do not overfill the filter holder. Use the
measuring spoon "p". One spoonful is
enough for each cup of coffee
(see Fig. 11).
• We recommend you use a stainless steel
container for frothing milk, although porcelain
or ceramic jugs may also be used.
• Do not switch off the coffee maker
immediately after making the last cup of
coffee. Allow it to continue functioning for
approximately one minute, so that all the
water is completely drained out of the
system. It is normal for the sound of the
steam expanding to be heard.
11. WASTE ELIMINATION
The materials used in the
packaging, product and
accessories can be recycled.
Correct separation of waste
materials will allow recyclable materials to be
re-used.
When the appliance is no longer useful, you
should cut its cord to put it out of action and
dispose of it using a suitable waste
elimination procedure. For further information
on this matter, consult your local authorities.
